not that i know what's going on in those clips, but i've seen and read about protesters doing some pretty bad stuff around here for the whole berkeley tree sitting thing. when i was there watching, some people tried to jump the police barrier and when the police repelled them, the other protesters were shouting stuff about police brutality while video taping it. it's pretty easy to edit it to make it look like the police attacked unprovoked. i also talked to one of the cops on duty and she told me they'd had problems with some of the tree sitters throwing urine and feces at them. i really don't think that police are infallible, but i also think that many of these protesters deliberately put themselves in situations where they are at fault and then falsely scream about police brutality.
I don't disagree that protesters certainly deserve some blame in scenes like this, but when police start roughing up members of the media, it is a bit of clue that something is seriously wrong here.
Not that media people are saints, but I have a hard time believing he did anything wrong there.
