Thankfully, Rush is not in any real power and doesn't speak for everyone in Congress, but I do get the sense there are some in power who do really see things in black and white like that. Bush is the most obvious example. I HOPE that the Democrats are not pushing the stimulus through as a way of sticking it to the Republicans. They've at least claimed that they want Republican support, regardless of what they've done to get it.

Well from the sounds of it, the democrats seem to be really, really gleeful of their new found power.

Just looking at all the garbage they've managed to add to this "stimilus" bill and Obama's whole "No debate this must pass nao!" attitude (eerily similar to Bush I might add), it looks like they really are there to stick it to republicans.

Not that I feel any sympathy for republicans at all. Sitting idly by and applauding Bush's expansions of government power and now they're getting screwed by it (which makes the screed in this post all the more ironic). Just making an observation that it's a really sad state of affairs.

ding ding! If anything this is more the Democrats doing exactly what Rush is promising the Republicans will do. Taking the already centralized and expanded powers and turning them against the Republican interests. Heck, we might see waterboarding of Republicans before Obama's term is up.
