I think grown naturally means the animals werent fed things to make it grow fatter and faster... Not that it was humanely treated. Its like why do people eat organic. The same dealio!

on the same vein as gurkie's comment, here's a pdf from the union of concerned scientists about why grass fed beef and milk is better nutritionally for you.

Ok, so the "naturally raised" stuff doesn't boggle me so much now. the humane thing still does, however.

just cause ur going to kill it doesnt mean you have to be mean to it while its alive.

Ultimately we will all die why bother having a nice life?

Honestly, I agree with you... But I would take it to be more of a ... since you care about how these animals live why eat them? Although that being said Veal bothers me more than meat because its treated so badly.

you don't see any difference between being tortured and being killed? which fate would you prefer?

From a completely moral standpoint I don't really see much of a difference. The end result is the same: you are killed.

The person who kills wihtout committing torture is not morally superior to the person who does kill with torture. They are both killers.

I disagree.

By that same equivalency, what happens if you remove the killing?

You have one guy who's holding people (or animals) captive and torturing them, and one guy who's simply holding them captive. Are those not morally distinguishable?

if you judge everything by the end result, it doesn't really matter if i shoot you in the face or give you a flower... either way the end result is your death :)
