Well this started out as..........

Me trying to do a little research on the links between Sars-CoV, Avian flu A(H5N1) and the overuse of anti-biotics in farming, anyhaps, remembering that Yushenko "fell ill" whilst being poisoned with Dioxin, ((If you remember at the time I suggested it was the Ruskies with Agent Orange)and ignored the wisecracks about it being Prof plum with the ( Read more... )

im convinced its because of the anti-biotics in meat that i went of eating it. I stopped eating all meat at 17/18 when i was getting pumped full of antibiotics for the never ending kidney infection (3 yrs!) The smell of any meat cooking made me want to vomit and the taste of any meat did the same - i used to be such a steak lover too!

I was convinced at the time that it was because of all the shit they pump into the animals. I can now eat chicken without vomiting but not regularly - i cant stomach anything else.

OOH forgot you were almost veggie :$

If you recon it's the drugs they pump in to them (I'm assuming you refering to your own sickness) making you ill, have you not tried propperly farmed animals? (Not that I'd try to return anyone to a diet of high cholesterol, and foodstuffs high in the stuff we are told we should not do, low in the stuff we are told we should, (drugs, fat and exercise I mean, but I bet you guessed) I have no problems with others eating meat, if it's been farmed well, but the problem with todays meat industry is that it's all in the way it's sold, hell look at what the ad men have done to Kobe Beef, another fatty food due to (Maybe Genetics) but more likely lack of room, massaged and fed beer to relieve muscular pain from the sedatory lifestyle, and of course, I'd say cows would be much like humans, What do humans do after beer? Bingo, hit the Kebab house as they feel hungry.

Sadly, I did not know you then, Mick. I do know that the Yanks tried to assasinate Casto, that reagan was behind the death squads in El Salvadore (or was that Chile... or both??)

But as for these Ukrainians, maybe the fact that reading, not Ps2 is seen as a source of entertainment out there, so kids make the effort. Most kids in my class read 'Boys Own' and 'The Eagle', and the standard of writing was a bit higher in there than currently in the Sun, lemme tell you.

Yeah, wot happened to 'The Eagle', Mick - and 'Look and Learn'? Don't tell me that Tony Blair's guvvermint had nothing to do with its demise. LOL!

Yeah, they were all telling us he was hospitalised, then the dioxin poisoning came out, but the almost instant ageing, and hair whitening was a symptom of the Dioxin that was produced during the manufacture of agent orange.

The Castro and Chile rumours I have heard both sides of, one of them being the spreading of misinformation, in order to cover up what was realy going on, hell our own lot did the same, remember what Blair was doing when the Major/Edwina scandal hit the newspapers?

maybe the fact that reading, not Ps2 is seen as a source of entertainment out there exactly my point, although that does not explain the lack of "diagnosed ailments" we have in the west, you know, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia and the likes, which I'm pretty bloody sure are deemed the cause of more that a 1% literacy failure rate here.

Yeah, wot happened to 'The Eagle', Mick - and 'Look and Learn' erm well for me Minto it was the beano and the Dandy till I was 8yo, then came tandies visits to play on early apples, then the ZX81, ZXSpectrum which in all reality ( ... )
