pictures from katrina

i took some pictures of the fallen trees in our yard,

this is the first one that fell, taken not long after it happened. that's my house on the right. what was left of the trunk is just barely out of the frame (d'oh). pretty big tree. (sorry for the crappy quality, i had my camera in a ziplock so it wouldn't get wet.)

this is what's left of the trunk. i should've put something in the picture for height reference (double d'oh), but it's probably about 7 or 8 feet tall.

here's the other tree that fell. it wasn't as big or as close to the house.

katrina really screwed south louisiana and missippi. i can't imagine what it would be like to live in new orleans. we'll be ridiculously lucky if it's not referred to as "lake new orleans" after this.

on a happier note, we got a scanner today, so i can finally post some of the many film prints i have.

this is probably one of my favorite pictures that i've taken. john thomas, what a funny little kid.

ok, so i was just looking at this picture and realized it looks a little gay. eric and michael. (and yes, eric actually rode that thing)

strobe lights are freaking awesome. this is the only picture i got, but i definitely need to play around with strobes some more.

i posted almost this same exact picture waaaaaay back, from my first trip to austin. this is from the more recent one, i just decided to get it on film.

back to school tomorrow, guess i should go work on homework.
