December reading

Another lopsided month in reading, where I finished one book in the first two weeks and five books in the last week. Our flight to San Antonio on Thursday was delayed almost an hour and a half (after we'd already gone through security, natch) and the flight itself was four hours for some reason, so that helped a lot. I read Future Home of the Living God a few years ago and still find myself haunted by it when I remember certain passages. She's such a phenomenal writer.

She is, and compassionate, too (all those different permutations of motherhood!). I'm guessing this book will stay with me for a long time.
