and, really, i don't like cake that much either unless it's red velvet cake. and some other kinds too ... wedding cake is usually pretty good if it's not overly sweet.
not big on the oysters, mussels, and clams. don't mind the taste, can't handle the texture.
have you been to the crab cooker (http://www.crabcooker.com/) in newport beach. mmm... plus it's in a neat little shopping district area right now the beach. we used to go and get a 1/2 pound of smoked salmon and fresh bread and go sit on the beach. we haven't done that in ages.
You know where's an awesome place for edible crustaceans in a variety of forms? Boston! As in coming to visit old friends there. Especially ones who've just added a nifty new Dr. to their already awesome name!
Wow! Congratulations! "Paging Dr. Boyskin... Dr. Boyskin please report to electro-shock room 1..."
:)
I do want to visit and I will one day. I have some plans to do it sooner rather than later. There is a large concentration of people on the East coast (including all of my family) that I need to see soon-ish.
I find many people dislike crab cakes... But I love them! My old roommate was Vietnamese and used to make them from scratch all the time... that and fish cakes which is kind of smelly but tasted great! BTW added you as I believe we've met in RL at Mal/Ruin/TDK's bbq's.
