We had hockey and netball and lacrosse and tennis at school...wonder what the nuns would have said to cricket !

There was a traditional match against a fathers' side on speech day... I supposed it was meant to make us all able to look intelligent when our brothers/fathers/boyfriends talked about it, and make us less likely to object to making the tea in the pavilion!

Only school cricket lesson I remember was where we had a great time, & were each unable to bowl the length of the pitch - for all some of us threw javelin when we had to enter for Sports Day.
