Canon Update!
Immediately after she returned home, she traveled to hell alongside Black Cat and Photon to rescue Hellcat from Daimon Hellstrom. Her cancer went into remission and she continued chemotherapy for about six months before getting the all-clear. Angelica then decided to pursue her education and re-enrolled in college.
She teamed up with Arana, Nomad, Toro, and Gravity to take on the "Bastards of Evil". She and Gravity got their asses kicked by Electro in a battle before taking on the creator of the Bastards of Evil, the Superior. During the final battle, Firestar absorbed extreme amounts of radiation and Gravity had to take her high into the atmosphere, almost into space so she could safely purge the radiation from her body.
Following the defeat of the Bastards, she resumed her life as a full time college student while looking for a job. She encountered her old teacher, Emma Frost, who encouraged her to accept her destiny as a powerful mutant and join the X-Men in Utopia, but Angie declines, deciding to live the life she wants and pick her own labels and destiny. She is later profiled by reporter Kat Farrell in an in depth article about her life.
While out drinking with Patsy and Monica, she encounters her former New Warriors teammates, Rich Ryder, Robbie Baldwin, and Vance Astrovik. Being that Vance is her ex, things get a little tense and awkward during the reunion, even more so when Vance and Angelica found themselves battling against teenage versions of themselves who were still ridiculously in love. They battled themselves for awhile before remembering that they'd done this before in a battle against Loki back during their Avengers days. By teaming up with each other and themselves, and setting their relationship issues aside, they were able to defeat Loki and return reality to normal.
Afterward, Vance invited her to get some coffee, to catch up on old times, but Angelica declined. She'd already said what she'd needed to say to him and gotten a lot of things off her chest, and all she wanted to do was go home and study.
I would like to pull Angelica in from the last panel of that story in I Am An Avenger #4, when Angelica is walking down the street and away from Vance.
