I Love this so very very much. All of it! Not to be rude, but the drifts look like they get over your head in places." Ah, casual douchebaggery.
There is the greatest wind-drift of all just beyond the turn, and there our Strong, Rugged, Muscular, Virile, Manly Men..." Heee, Awww Stepholas. :D

In the original text, Tolkien has Legolas say "our Strong Men", capitals and all. I couldn't resist.
Thank you!

Mogget gets credit for a good half of Lewis' lines ^_^
Yes, the word "furlong" is used in the original text -- but it is true that I made a very conscious choice to leave it in =3
Thank you for the love -- of specific lines and in general!

"Aurcrist" is genuine Sindarin - aur, "a day, daylight", and crist, "blade, sword" (the same word from the name of Thorin's sword, Orcrist).
"Another difference"? I think it's the same thing. The real Jon doesn't talk about his father, and neither does Jonagorn.
The phrase "Rocks fall, everyone dies"
originated here
. It's widely applicable, and so it has spread.
I'm not actually sure who you're looking forward to. The Balrog? Galadriel? (Either way, it's going to be fun, let me tell you ^_~)

I thought you got Aurcrist from it sounding like "Our Christ", which would just be the most ironic sword for a Jeúmenorian ever. -hides-
