About 30-40 years ago, Egypt (not being the hub of technology or medical knowledge) had a severe bout of Hepatitis C rampage through its society, mostly its children. This was mainly due to the fact that doctors would immunize several children at a time with the same needle, and hospitals would not check blood transfusions for Hepatitis. My prayers are with you and your uncle!! Receiving an organ is such a blessing. The donor is a very special person to give the gift of life to others. While it is sad that the donor's life is over, remember that God has a plan for everyone, including him and your uncle.

Hey, Middle_Sis, sorry about the mixed news. Hopefully, he's healing up by now.

Not to pry, as I often do, but I have a question... I thought with liver transplants that they didn't necessarily have to take the whole thing and that they could potentially use only part of the liver from a living donor. Was a I wrong about that? Is there a potential complication from the Hep C?

Also, I hope your own tooth/pain/crazy problem is all done.
