yeah. the whole rushing away to college thing is a scam. going to occ for two years makes a million times more sense, first of all because it's cheaper but more importantly because it gives you more time to figure out what you're supposed to do. as if 17-year-old kids are supposed to have their lives laid out for themselves. ridiculous. as for friends, you'll find that some stick around and some don't, but no matter what, things are never again the same as they were in high school. anyway what i'm saying is that you're not crazy. all those kids who knew when they were 13 that they wanted to major in law and go to ucla have midlife crises coming their way 20 years down the line. what's most important is that you live your life according to what you want to do rather than what you feel like you should do.
i can definitely attest to all of this, george. you'll have so much more time and choices and money should you choose to go to OCC for a couple of years. friends will come and go and it might phase you for the first month but after that you're over it. you'll never regret staying home and if you don't want to stay with your mom, there are people looking for roommates all over the place. and about europe, you can go in your second year at occ if you know how to do it. talk to me later.
