Now consider that this article is from last December.

It blows my mind that this story, which should have been on every front page of every newspaper in the country, run over and over again on every TV station, used as the basis for impeachment proceedings, is limping along like this. I mentioned it to my mother -- who doesn't go out of her way to follow political news, but certainly doesn't avoid it either -- the other day, and she hadn't heard anything about it. I am livid.

Yeah, I had one of those classic face-to-keyboard moments when I noticed that Slate article was from December. There is something obviously wrong when a story this big is getting hidden under the rug.
