All it would do is to slow down our content, and to create an even greater sucking sound at the intelligencia of the USA as they move to countries where they do not have to pay for preferential service.
I think that this is one area where China could actually come off looking like the good guy if we do not keep our IT infrastructure neutral.

Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly. It is getting to the point where it is less and less practical to remain in the US long-term, (never-mind the police-state video surveillance and other nasty things on the horizon.) If they kill Net Neutrality that is just one more nail in the coffin.

I should be in Japan by 2015 at the latest... And I am hoping that it can be earlier if possible (such as being able to finish a phd in two years...HA!...probably not)...
But, as it stands, I have between 2 and 4 years for undergrad completion, and 2 to 4 years for graduate work... That puts me at 2013 to 2014 for completion of school, with probably one or two trips to Asia in there somewhere, and then a year to find a job at Sony, Honda, Matsushiro, or one of the other Robotics Co's I have heard from....
