I hope vacation was wonderful! I know all about coming home to a world of shit after a cheap escape. It's like karma wants to punish us for having a good time.
Now, I know you're still in the "fire bad. tree pretty," phase, but, I have the following things to say.
1. I can't wait to read these potential hits. For the record, I want to be the country version of Pat Benatar. (That means I'm totally going to rock the one earing, but no one will know, because there's so much hair hiding any accessories I could possibly pile on.)
2. I hope that some hell fic is totally coming along with those hits.

It really was quite relaxing, at least once we got to Delray Beach. The beginning of the trip was a bit crazy, what, with my mom still being down there when we arrived, and then my grandmother and all the stress that comes along with it, plus the mad sketch hotel (OMG I will post the details of that "adventure" at some point)...then the drive across the state...it was a lot, but at the end of the day, I managed a whole fucking week of being "off the grid" as The Hubby calls it, and although it sucked when I logged onto all my shit this afternoon, for a whole week, the outside world didn't exist. And it was totes fucking nice. Plus, the tan I got is a bonus! Baking in the sunshine state helps with the writing, you know. Teh Beach is srs bsns guise. ;-D ( ... )

As for what ppl rec in terms of what I've written:
- The Water Fairy is the most rec'd crack!fic one-shot I've written. Actually, it's the most rec'd one-shot I've written...ever! lol!
- Górecki and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik are favs on the more serious one-shot end of the spectrum.
I have some multi-chaptered works as well, of which the "hell fic," which is actually entitled The Divine Comedy: “Inferno” is the latest. It's completely based off of the nine circles of Hell in Dante's "Inferno," and melindajane has been the unlucky one to read my outline for the entire fic. XD You may occasionally have noticed ppl bugging me for "AYW," which is As You Wish, and is a kinda of fractured fairy tale/Aladdin-type fic. And yes, it will be completed ( ... )

Yellow legal pads are totes the shit. XD I discovered their wondrous existence when doing a show (I'm a pit musician) during my undergrad. You get so much down-time in-between musical numbers that you feel like you're spinning your wheels, but you can't, like, read a book or something b/c you still need to have one ear on the action on stage just in case someone skips a line--or page--of dialogue, and the cue line pops up sooner than expected. However, it's an excellent time to make to-do lists, or outline papers or anything else you need to write, and so I asked my friend if he had any paper, and he produced a yellow legal pad. From that point on, if I'm going to a gig, or anywhere else that I'm going to have some idle time (like all those fucktastic doctor's appointments I go to *snorts*) I have one with me. ^.^
The world needs more yellow legal pads. Totes. ;-P
