Here's the rules: I tell you about 7 of my interests, then you comment here and I'll pick 7 of yours that I'm curious about. At which point you will post something about your interests (why you popped them in, what they mean to you, etc.) on your own journal.

1. Oh god, I know EXACTLY what you mean! I worked on several plays in college, as a dresser, and also I was in a choir when I was younger, and you're absolutely right--nothing compares.

3/4. That is so cute. My brother's very into Jack Johnson, which is why I asked, but that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard. That's a great honeymoon soundtrack as well, no matter the venue, but the fact you actually were in Hawaii makes it even sweeter.

5. You know I didn't even know there was a band, but now that I'm thinking of it it doesn't surprise me. That, along with Dante's Inferno and The Divine Comedy--and Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, actually--are on my list of Things To Read Cover To Cover Sometime Before I Die.

Ironically enough, my brother is into Jack Johnson too! In fact, for him + his fiancee, 'Better Together' is their song, + that will be their first dance at their wedding. :)

As for Paradise Lost, yup, they're a band--a doom metal band from the UK. However, the more 'interesting' fact (and the reason I asked 'I wonder how many of you reading this thought I meant the band, not the poem) is that Valo is a HUGE PL fan, and is pretty vocal about it. I, for one, happen to love the band as well, and first checked them out when I was in HS solely based on the name. XD

PS: Dante is brilliant, and Chaucer is breath-taking. Definitely keep them on your list. :)

2. I am a baker also. I can’t cook for shit, mostly because I lake the courage to properly season, but I love to bake. I love having cupcakes come out perfect and golden, I like using food coloring to create a new shade of frosting, and I love using exotic and crazy things to use as toppers. Also, I’ve had an ongoing mission to create the perfect s’more. I try to class it up with imported chocolate or fancy cookies instead of graham crackers. I have not yet found that perfect balance between junk and yum. It’s fun though! I totally get you on this one ( ... )

2. Remind me to send you the recipe for my Oreo cupcakes. I guarantee your guests will say 'OMG WTF OM NOM NOM,' or my name's not JBitch.

6. I totally understand your fear about pool water being akin to human soup, just like you understand my whole fear of the dark, deep chlorinated depths. ;D In this case, two not-so-rights definitely make one BIG right. ;-)

7. The Hubby would agree with you: the amaretto sour is his favorite drink, and he makes no apologies about the fact that it's a 'girly drink.' But don't rule wine out, darlin'--grab a bottle one day and have a taste. You may be surprised by what you think.

BONUS: lol! Haven't seen 'American Pickers' yet, but my brother also says this is a must-see. I'm definitely going to check it out now! Classy hoarders concept that doesn't make me wanna weep and reach for a Xanax? I'M THERE + SO IS HOBO.

HE TEXTED ME ALL ABOUT HIS LOVE FOR THE SHOW WHILE OUT W/HIS HOBO HETERO-LIFE MATE TOM. SEE? THEY EVEN WENT SHOPPING TO CELEBRATE!
