" At a certain point, not giving up stops being admirable and starts being desperate and pathetic."

I had a kid, not the plague.

She's 19 months old now.

And pretty much all my "real life" friends have decided I'm not worth the time anymore.

BECAUSE I'M A MOM AND CAN'T DO SHIT FOR THEM ALL THE TIME ANYMORE, I'M GUESSING.

God-fucking-damnit.

Now I want to cry.

I'm so sorry they are being assholes. Their turns will come one day and hopefully they will feel like shit.

For now, you need some other "mommy" friends. Have you joined any groups at the library or temple?

We're looking into the mommy and me group for 18-24 month olds (she'll be 20 months on the 4th) at the synagogue for the Spring. I've been going on and off to the breastfeeding group at the hospital since she was born, but there's a high turnover rate, and the constants are older, have tons of kids and we can't really relate as well.

Eh. My "friends" are assholes. It's a fucking shame.

You should def. do the mommy and me group. Its probably mostly first time moms there. You don't have time for stuff like that after the second one comes along.
