I went to that place, more 'n once. The first time I was just a pup. The second time I must've been with your friend ultidestru, just hanging out. I love that place? Yeah. Everyone generically loves the angry baby but I must agree, he is great. The people are so big, and they are doing these great things that you usually dont see Norwegians do.
I guess Munch was mad at Vigeland for accepting state funding; he lived with the king, or something! (In a guest house.)

Yo dude, I just saw that you commented on my post!! Whoa..I never got an email about it. Stupid LJ. So you and L*** went to Vigeland together? Sounds like fun! Oh yeah...I love the angry baby too. Hmm...one of my faves is there's a group of kids huddled together and there is one little girl on the outside pouting. The look on her face is priceless. It's really amazing the way Vigeland could capture emotion like that. That's true...that's part of the beauty of it, the fact that the sculptures are doing things unaccustomed to the typical conservative Norwegians.
Oh right, I remember reading that. Vigeland lived in a cottage IN the park, funded by the state. I think you can tour the cottage. Unfortunately when I was there it wasn't tourist season yet and a lot of things weren't open to the public. I'd love to go back in the summer.
