Well, after just about two weeks I've finished my quasi-marathon reading of Berserk, from start to finish. Well, up to the 303rd chapter that's been released so far. I don't use the term lightly, but seriously, I shat bricks. Over and over again, especially towards the last few chapters which are new to me. I'd forgotten how flat-out awesome ( Read more... )

I think this just convinced me that I need to catch up on Berserk.

I haven't read the most recent stuff in FOREVER. (-: Generally speaking I read each new chapter as it comes out, but then I don't reread them until the official Dark Horse volumes come out in North America. Gives me more motivation to keep on buying the volumes and supporting the fandom that way. (-:

I did reread the volumes not long ago, though. Berserk is one of those things that's in pretty constant rotation in my manga/comics reading-- every so often I'll have the urge to give it a full reread from the beginning.

Yesss, I did a marathon read of Berserk fairly recently myself (originally, I had read up to volume 8 of the Dark Horse books, then dropped it as I had other things to pre-occupy myself with, then picked it up again). Actually, the newer chapters were starting to drag a bit, I felt. The whole war between the Band of the Hawk and Ganishka wasn't entirely interesting to me. I mean, it doesn't take a genius to know which way things are going to go.

However, with Chapter 303 picking back up characters and plot I thought they forgot, I'm extremely anxious for more!!

Overall though, even with the slight drag, Berserk is an amazing series. -nod-

I even added some icons to my giant avatar base list from 303 :3
