Question about release dates

I have been reading the Berserk manga release in the US by volume. I just finished volume 29, which ends with the chapter "the colonnade chamber." Volume 30 was released recently, but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. And it will take through November of this year for volume 31 & 32 to be released! I am trying to avoid spoilers. Dark Horse has been fairly speedy with releases. The Japanese tankubon have been released maybe 3 every two years or so, whereas we're getting more than three a year easily. I think chapter 300 and some would be in book 34 or 35. So you're not THAT current, but it won't take too long for you to catch up.

Personally, I'd just wait a bit for now. There's some crazy stuff going on right now in the Berserk world and waiting for each new chapter is painful! If you've managed to hold out this long, hold out a bit longer. Then you can enjoy it all in one fell swoop.

I started reading the manga recently. It was either early last year or this year (now I don't even remember). I feel like I caught up to the US release, but not caught up enough to discuss it online. It's painful waiting, but I also don't want it to end. I love the series so much.

I'm surprised you didn't check, and I don't mean to belittle you, but if you had taken a quick glance at Wikipedia, you could've had all your questions answered spoiler-free in just a few seconds.

Currently 33 volumes out in Japan, so you're not that behind. Volumes average about 10 chapters per release. The US release is able to catch up because new chapters are published so slowly.

Thanks for the link. I checked wikipedia, but just the main Berserk page. Didn't see the volume list.

Yeah you won't have to worry about being behind really. There's a long time between chapter releases.
