There's a Da'Haran Lord sitting at his desk as he goes over some of the paperwork he needs to finish. There are also things that he's trying to finish for the eighteenth birthday which is coming up pretty fast. Guest lists, payments for things, payment for the ring Michael is having commissioned as well as an added persuasion to hold his tongue

Speaking of the newly pregnant...here she comes.

She's quiet as she knocks softly at the office door, before slipping through.

"There's been a ring commissioned?" she asks, having heard it through the proverbial grape vine. "He's going to marry the girl he brought from that place, isn't he?"

He looks up at the knock, smiling at her. It wears a little thin at the questions though.

"Yes there's been a ring commissioned and yes he's going to marry her." His head tilts slightly, curiously at Kahlan, almost asking why without actually voicing it.

She slowly walks over to him and presses a gentle kiss to his forehead, before settling in a chair.

"I just...never seem to find anything out first hand anymore. I didn't want to look any more foolish than I did when I was told about the ring. I'm not upset or disapproving--actually, quite the contrary. I think she's going to be a good balance on him, even if they are still a little...young and reckless."

His smile grows at the kiss and words.

"Sorry, I ended up getting too distracted to tell you between you under my desk and then you being pregnant." His son's happy moments, while not over shadowed, can occasionally be over looked when he's not here and Richard has happy moments himself. "From what he said, he's looking to officially announce the engagement at his eighteenth birthday."

He nods, "I think she's a good balance for him too. And Ariella and Adie already really like her, which is a good thing." Adie, has already officially adopted her into the Rahl children, really.
