>I pick and choose what I write about, which I guess could be called editorializing. I will shamelessly favor the obscure strategy games I enjoy, some quirky little projects that nobody else will reference, and so forth. I am yet to write a line on any of the big sports franchises, and do not even recall embedding one of their trailers on our pages. I do not apologize for this.

There are far worse ways to contribute even tiny pearls of education for the console-attached masses. I think it's great that you're doing what interests you instead of playing bitch to the industry.

Yeah, I suppose so. Industry-bitch isn't a role that really suits me anyhow. Every job I've had I've pretty much approached on my own terms, as I do live here in 'the worker's paradise' after all. If I get fired, I'll always have some benefits to fall back on.

Doesn't mean I can't compromise a bit, but honestly, they'll have to pay me a lot more than the peanuts I am getting now to corrupt me to any extent.

Ha! I've been in a similar boat the past few months (well, except that my pay is actually good when I have work). But yeah, I get the whole "being bound to your chair" thing.

If you're willing to take on other work, I can probably hook you up with some companies that use Finnish copywriters. You'd have to do more marketing/advertising kind of work, but it can be quite profitable work.

Mmmmmarketing. I'm not certain I am cut out for such, since I am highly cynical, jaded, and believe that business majors are the cause for at least 90% of all the evil, and 95% of all the BS in the world. Thanks for the offer though. :)

It is just that if something is shit, I'll call it shit, and if something is merely okay, then I won't enthuse to others about it, even when paid.
