Some sketches from way back when that incorporate my ideas of what Neo-Queen Hotaru of Saturn would wear.

This is one of my oldest sketches. I love the Grecian, white, diaphanous gown look. The sleeves are among my favorite part of the dress and I got the inspiration for them and the dress when I saw a picture of Umi from MKR. For a while I kind of wanted this to be her wedding gown instead of the original purple one I designed for her. Then I changed my mind, making it her "everyday" queen dress.

A friend of mine drew this for me. I designed the dress and accessories (minus the crown) and picked the colors; I also drew the sleeves--note they're again my favorite parts of the dress and resemble the sleeves of the other dress. It's sort of mixing the grecian dress with an outer dress.

This is the last Sailor Moon sketch I ever did. I have to say it's my favorite, and I got pretty damn good. Sadly, my skill has waned. This is a revamp of the original Neo-Queen Hotaru Dress, and perfectly matches the idea in my head, except maybe the crown--I added that later and was indecisive as whether or not to change it to a circlet. Funny thing about this sketch is that for a long time all I had was the face; then one night I decided I wanted to draw something, I looked up a picture to copy a pose from, and started drawing and voila! I didn't want to draw any facial features for fear of ruining the beauty of the sketch. Once again, check out the sleeves! They're the same as the other two; I have kind of an obsession with them; I always called them "wooshy sleeves" because that's what sound they make, particularly when the dress comes off! ;)
