I knew it would be inevitable, but it still comes as a surprise at how swiftly Borders is going to be closing 200 of their 642 stores. One of the stores is the one that I always go to in the mall. Now we will have no bookstore within a 20 mile radius of where I live. If I want to go to Barnes and Noble then I have to go the opposite direction

The King of Prussia one is in a mall as well. Actually, it's in the mall. This is the region's biggest and most popular mall, and it's in an upscale neighborhood, so them closing that store makes no sense to me ( ... )

They are closing 15 of the 30 stores they have in the Chicagoland area.
The closest bookstore to us is now a Barnes & Noble, but they've shifted so much focus to their Nook, as well as to DVDs and games for kids that there's hardly any room for books.The Barnes & Noble across from the mall closed December 31st last year. The Borders in the mall was the only one left within a 10-15 mile radius ( ... )
