The second example I want to share with you concerns the opening to your "Hero's and Villians" segment. When I saw the opening introduction this morning, I was so shocked I had to pause your show for several minutes to process how I felt about it. In fact, I found myself so upset that I couldn't actually convince myself to turn the tv back on and finish watching your show. I still have not finished watching that episode. I am not sure if you are familiar with the concept of yellow face, so I will explain it a bit here. Yellow face has some similar roots to black face. It is the performative "drag" wearing of one race on another, with it's origins in mockery. It has an offensive history, especially in hollywood where white actors would be painted in yellow face paint and have their eyes taped down to appear more asian. Many of these actors played annoying/subservient side characters, or villains who were meant to appear menacing.
