Had quite a good day yesterday, all told. Had to piss around with the evil garage again, but it seems like not a day goes by without having to do that lately, so I'm used to it.

Actually asked the stupid mechanic when Jeremy Beadle was due to appear, following a farcical change of tyre situation. Now considering this is apparantely a garage (though I'm willing to accept it may have come into existence just to piss me off), you'd think they'd know which side of the car was offside and which was near side. I did, but they didn't believe me. First of all, they changed the tire at the front, when the illegal one was clearly stated as being at the rear. Then put it on the back of the same side and laughed at me when I told them I was sure the passenger side was not the offside of the car. Took it to more sensible garage who told me I was right and so it went on until stupid evil stupid garage agreed to put it on the right side. Arrrgh.

Anyway, really got to stop ranting about that garage as it is doing my blood pressure no good at all (presumably). It's Roman Road Garages btw, so don't go there.

Went to work, which did not help stress levels as was threatened with manslaughter charge. I did not kill anybody this time, btw. Promise.

I met up with Alex straight from work and we mooched on down to the cinema for the quiz. Considering my team consisted of me, Alex and Jim, I think we did quite well. One point off winning a prize, which is slightly better than our usual efforts but was probably because of the horror film round which we totally kicked arse at.

Every time I am at the cinema quiz there is this girl there from my team at work. She knows I'm there, I know she's there and yet we never acknowledge each other. It's bizarre. I try and smile at her but she always manages to turn away from me and blank me successfully. She is perfectly civil at work though a bit proper. I think that she may find my friends and I an embarrassing assortment of oddness, but that's ok as I don't think I like her much either. Plus, she is called Duck and I think that is funny.

She won though, damn it. Perhaps if we were friends she would have shared the loot.

We were quite naughty after that and snuck in to see The Descent. Laughed at Fash who was trying to find us in a darkened theatre and spent five minutes staring into our faces before recognising us. Won't give a super long review of film as it is basically as it appears to be if you've seen the trailers. Girls, darkness, big holes, small spaces, monsters nicked from Creep. I didn't like the bit with the leg though, that was gross. It was quite jumpy, which I liked. So jumpy that apparantely I covered the three people around me with peanuts I'd accidentally thrown into the air. I think Fash enjoyed that more than the actual film. I gave him the rest of my nuts at the end and now he is happier than ever before.

Tonight I was invited to some rock club in Guisborough. However, I am not going. Sorry people, there's only so much Stolen Sun you can take in a life time... Joking! Truth is, I've been out every night this week and it is in Guisborough which is far awayish and I've chosen to instead go out to Jane's house which is nearer and less expensive as all I will drink there is tea, which Jane provides free of charge.

I am also trying to reorganise that murder mystery night at Hardwick Hall. Will have to check when the next one is on as people seem interested again and I'd really like to do it. I've not done murder mystery before and I'm sure it will be entertaining.

In other news, I just finished the new Harry Potter. I won't spoil it, don't worry. It was pretty good in all, especially toward the end where it all got a bit too exciting and I had to put it down and get a nice relaxing drink of tea. Looking forward to the next one!
