[Fanart] U-1224, Bismarck and I-8
Just some quick sketches I did in photoshop the past two days. You might see refined versions of them later, you might not. xD

Bismarck and U-1224.
Their interaction is really interesting and I wish that there were more comics pertaining to their relationship. I ship I-8 and U-1224 [lol, ship] in a canonical “soul mates” sense, but in that same sense I also kind of ship these two in a “it could have happened but didn’t and they’re both aware of it” way.
Wanted a sort of “dressing into the new uniform” interaction right before U-1224 meets I-8 for the first time as his first official mission [I-8 traveled to Germany to deliver the first and last Japanese crew to be trained upon U-1224]. A kinda awkward, quiet moment. I'm not sure historically if Bismarck was still around during this time [it sunk in May 1941], but lets just use our imaginations.
U-1224 and I-8
I've been wanting to do an underwater scene with these two for a while now, but each time I sketched it there was something too awkward about the posing or something else I'd dislike. Finally this piece wiggled onto the page and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Now to make myself go in and do finalized inking and coloring. @n@
And this is the color scheme I've been considering for it. What do you think?
