Edit: Wait, it's saying we CAN'T do stuff to the main comic/stuff that was printed in the comic.

Damn.

Edit 2: Or does it mean stuff that was printed only, but the main comic is okay?

I'm confused.

With regards to the midnight army’s alliance, fan-made games or bots, banners or icons, and the mini illustrations available on the “character list” which are available for free on the internet: I have decided that is ok for you to use these, and only these, as you wish.

Their original purpose wasn’t to be used as “raw materials,” so I think they might be a little difficult to use, but you may add text and manipulate them as you please.

However, please refrain from using the contents of the site that require a fee and all printed materials.

Okay, I guess this means that we can use the things that have been posted on the website, since they were free to look at already.

But anything that was put in the book and wasn't on the site is off-limits.

Mmm. . . actually only the images from the Character List is allowed to be used and manipulated for bots, icons, banners and such. However, other comics and such are still not allowed. On the bottom of her blog, it says that comics (or anything in the book) belongs to ASCII media works. Therefore, due to copyright laws, scanlations will be strictly illegal. But at least everyone is allowed to make icons out of those cute chibis and such?

Ooooh my goodness, thank you for the clarification! I was wondering if it meant something like that when it mentioned the character list...
Thank you very much, I'll clarify that for everyone!

Just a quick question-- What about any art on the website that hasn't been published yet? Are those allowed to be used, or is it strictly only those little chibis?

Considering she specifically specified the chibis, I'm guessing it's only limited to that, unfortunately.
