I have to write 500 words on "the most interesting thing about me", for a job application. I am pondering about what to write. What would you write about, if you were doing this job application?

I'd make a some sort of prosthetic hand with an extra thumb, brush it with ink and leave a mutant handprint on the page.

I don't think I ever had that exact question, but I had a few similar ones. I think I either wrote some bollocks about interrailling on my own a couple of summers ago, or about helping run Pangaea, Manchester Uni Union's end of exams event for 3 years(biggest student run music event in Europe at the time, no idea if it still is
