Being both technically and spiritually minded, I've been treading the waters of technopaganism. It's an interesting philosophy that is starting to resonate with me, though I have found more humorous references to it online than I have serious ones. Not being pagan myself this is very interesting to think about. (aw fuck it, I don't even know what I am anymore.) From a Reiki perspective, all comes from and is one at all times. Energy is universal and never/always changing. Even if you delete your online persona, the energy is still there. Creating another sn is drawing upon the same energy as the last. To "cleanse" your sn and it's energy all you have to do (in my opinion) is change your thinking about it. If you hold past grudges against others, have online spats, etc, let them go. Renew your thoughts, your energy and release those new "clean" thoughts into the world, both physical and digital.
Our thoughts become our reality :)

Even from outside of a religious standpoint, it's an interesting thought. I've had the "stacirico" handle for about 11 or 12 years now, and in a way it's like an alter-ego. To erase it would be to get rid of almost my entire digital history. And in this day and age, that's pretty significant.
