I love cheese but not every day. It turns out that in order not to be super-fat I need to limit myself to about 1400 calories per day and so I'm very picky about when and where I want my cheese. Sandwich shops just do. not. get. it. and I don't know why.

There have been a ton of cheese-related posts lately in bad_service.

To get their attention, order your meal vegan. Whatever it is. Be very explicit as to what this means: no meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, dairy, milk, cream or any animal products whatsoever.

After they have that clear, and they have read back to you the existing ingredients, as the very last thing you do, ask them to add the meat back in.
