So, as you can tell by the time, I'm not in school right now. Honestly, I just didn't feel up for it. I'm still feeling quite depressed over the whole ordeal and this morning sure as hell didn't help my attitude

Uh, the police department called you? About what? It doesn't sound like something they would actually call you about... did you call them in the first place and then they said you would receive a call back? I'm not trying to make your paranoia worse, but from I've seen the SDPD doesn't give much a shit about car theft, and I don't know why they would ask for your SS number.

If it were me, I would call their non-emergency line and ask if that call was for real. Maybe I'm just that paranoid, but I'm not giving up anything important unless I know for sure who is on the other line. Even then, I'd rather do it in person.

On a side note, did you get that Trunk Monkey yet? ;)

They actually said yesterday that someone from the SDPD would call me today...well, actually, they said they'd call YESTERDAY...but yeah. They called, and I could hear chatter in the background about various "business" related talks. I think it's safe. I mean, they did in fact give me a claim number? Ummm...I'm not sure what it's called anymore...but it's the number I need to make a claim on my insurance.

Okay, good to hear. The idea of giving out info like an SS number just don't sound right to me, y'know? Maybe the dude on the other end likes to get off on... handling claims? You know he was definitely handling something, heh heh.

You could probably get financing for Trunk Monkey. $500 down, $50 a month for 36 months plus associated health and handling fees along with the usual dealership tax and crap... what a deal!
