Finally burnt out my latest graphics card (not really 'burnt out' though it was on it's last legs going to put it in another computer any test it anyway), though bought another 2 ATI X1650 512mb cards, threw those in & connected up a secondary monitor so everythings a-ok now. Gonna slow down on the WoW hours and supplement them with some game time ( Read more... )

I'm curious as to how powerful those video cards you bought are. Buying them would cost about the same as a GeForce 8600GTS (my video card) which is about the same power as a GF 7950 (minus DX10).

As for the WoW poll, I'd be 0%. I don't play, though many people are trying to convince me to start.

2 x ATI X1650 $424 AUS in total ($217 each)

ATI X1650 Pro IceQ ~ GPU 600MHZ
512MB 128bit 4 Channel DDR2 RAM ~ 800MHZ
AGP X 8

Went for these cards since it has won over 12 awards since it was released and has it's own cooling system (compared to other ati/nvidia cards) which has been my main problem for quite some time. Always seems to be the graphics card that kicks out. Of course this would always be my problem since I run most of my computers 24/7. Even though I turn off the monitors.

Saw that the 7950 was also being put out by leadtek nice PCI-e card with a 1 GIG of onboard ram! Still $715.00 talk about wanting to set a fire in your own home just to pay for it.

Seem the way cards are going everyone will be using a dual slot card for their graphics cards, since they still haven't solved the problem with heating this bulky technology.

Also, I feel for you with the flu. I got hit with it earlier this week. Right as I started my exams. Haven't taken so many drugs in a short period since my surgery. Hope you're doing better than I did.
