Carry a book, or even better, a Kindle. When people see that you're prepared to spend an hour in line, somehow things always seem to speed up a lot.

Yeah, my phone has Kindle and Nook apps on it, and a pdf reader too, as well as a few dozen books. Funny though, since I've had the phone I haven't had occasion to use any of it. Best I can usually do is sneak in a level of Angry Birds or something. I guess it's good though, because it means that I'm not waiting around for extended periods of time. :-)

Don't ever ever ever ever go to Disney World. NOTHING but lines there. Even if you use their FastPass system, you still have to wait in another line.

Oh, you don't have to tell me about that. It's one of the reasons (if not the main reason) I don't go to Six Flags here anymore. Sorry, waiting in line for 30-120 minutes for 2 minute rides and attractions. I've really got better things to do with my time.

oh. my god. liz does not wait in lines. i have in my life collected 2 autographs, 1 went to fester, and the other i own, neither of which i waited in line for. theme parks? forget it. it's just not in my dna. cannot wait in lines. i'll pay double admission for the fast pass or whatever they call it and make it part of my budget if it costs money.

i have a theory that the reason the hearse is at the "front" of the procession is because after you croak, at least you get line preference.

Oh, I hear ya, on all of it. And, I forgot too, how about those insane day after Thanksgiving shoppers. Holy nutbaggery there.
