a/n: it's not much but i miss writing andy/roger. i tried to keep my opinion of fidelity/monogamy out of this.
Bands of silver, gold, copper, of whatever colour one may fancy displays the love, the commitment that bonds two souls together. Some leave physical marks; tan lines from the honeymoon, from a family vacation. Others are embedded in the skin; fights that end in understanding and comfort, gestures that are done out of nothing but pure love. Regardless of the time, of the era, rings symbolize fidelity, the vow of being true and faithful to the one who you have tied your soul with.
In the shadows of the night, tan skinned hands roam over a pale wanting body, slide up strong confident arm until they rest over warm hands. A light gold diamond studded ring settles over a band of simple platinum silver as the bodies below move gracefully together. Brown locks spill onto pale skin as their pace speeds up, their rings clicking as fingers lock. The sounds would have been loud in the nearly silent room if it were not for their shallow pants for air.
In the bright sun of the morning, the soft pale body rests peacefully with tanned arms securely around his waist, bodies pressed together from head to toe. In front of them lies their hands, clasped together on the mahogany coloured sheets. The sun shines on bands of mental on their fingers and breaks the light into shards of shadows around the room.
They have been faithful to each other ever since that fateful day they met all those years ago; long before Brooklyn had come into the picture, even longer than Mirka. Perhaps they do not have bands of silver, gold or whatever colour to represent their commitment to each other, but they do have one to show their infidelity to others.
