Quid me terret. If I were to have opinions on Dr. Kurzweil, they would not be typed. If I had opinions on Singularity, they would not be readable by machine. If a negative is inevitable, then fear of it transpiring is no longer paranoia.

I could scare you even more by pointing out that some of Dr. Kurzweil's actual accomplishments include being in on the ground floor of OCR, aka Optical Character Recognition, aka the way computers read physical paper writing.

yes, I am aware it can read images, however Khmer written in Greek with Latin grammar will throw it off. Or something similar. Or randomly changing any of the above. Machines are like Shai-hulud: to survive, walk without rhythm.
