Ooh just saw this (I don't really use LJ except for Big Pretzel) - lovely painting, I love the trees and the bright, snow filled (?) sky!

The reference photo was misty with a cloudy sky but the texture I used when painting is very reminiscent of snow especially since the rocks in the reference photo were white so they look like snow patches here. But that works just as well as an interpretation for a New Years painting 🤷🏻‍♂️😊
I haven’t done a traditional painting in about a year so it was just really fun to sit down and have a play with the medium 👍🏻😊
