Dream Reference

That dream is awesomely hilarious. My only library-related dream involved my boss yelling at me because I got lost looking for the reference desk, which kept moving - guh.

Yes, I was pretty bemused when I woke up. I still feel bad for that kid though, haha.

I read the second book in the series and was a bit underwhelmed after the brilliance of the first book. I'll probably pick up the others at some point, but my TBR list is over 100 books at the moment, so who knows when that will be.

I know what you mean. The TBR list is an ever-growing beast. I liked the second Pals in Peril a lot, the third and fourth a little less, but still found them hilarious. Partly because they are so different from a lot of other children's books, even the funny ones.

Here's another favorite to add to your list of funny books for ages 9-12: I, Jack, by Patricia Finney. One of the best things about it, besides that it's told from the POV of the idiot family dog, is that it's really short and easy, so you can read it in an hour or less! (c:
