Box. As soon as I cut open the box, I caught the slightest whiff of roasted green chile.
Recipes thoughtfully inserted on top of chile. :-)
Underneath the styrofoam lid, I see chiles coyly peeking out. I'm amazed to say the bags of chile were all still frozen solid. They are packed inside a styrofoam cooler type box, packed inside the outer cardboard box, with styrofoam peanuts tossed in for cushion. No dry ice, and that did not seem to present a problem. Granted they were sent 2-day express, but you would expect some slight thawing. Nope. Didn't happen. Frozen solid chunks of green chile goodness. :-) I also realize it's not the middle of summer yet, either.
10 - one pound bags of roasted, frozen green chile. My lips are smacking.
Empty box, so sad. All chile must be kept safe in the confines of my freezer.
1 - 12oz bag of dried, ground green chile spice/powder. (you know, just in case.)
