California here we come, right back where we started from
well when we first got there, we got everything out, pulled out the tent and started to set it up and....whhhhat. no fucking poles and stakes? you've got to be kidding me. Breanna forgot to put them back in the tent back after she last used it.
so Audra flopped in it and mourned. Breanna had to drive down and bring them to us. That was our only real misfortune and it turned out okay!
so we packed up and drove to the Boardwalk and lived out of my car for a while until Breanna got there. It was kinda sad and we dont like to mention it.

okay so I laid down in the sand without a towel cause we didnt have one and i layed down face first and sand got allll in my face, who knows what I was thinking or why I thought that would be okay, and then SOMEONE (emily) snapped this picture of me trying to get it off.
we got the poles! and up went the tent!

after we got the tent up we went to the beach and saw this really pretty sunset

next day we woke up bright and early (well the combination of people, chirping birds, and crazy mongeese/ground squirrels woke us up) and went to the Boardwalk to actually do something besides sit.

Double Shot, okay so this ride didnt scare me but Drop Zone made me throw up cause I was so scared. Weird. Maybe cause this one isnt nearly half as tall. Emily had the FUNNIEST expression when they took our picture on this hahaha.

going up the Dipper....I tried to get one coming down but I was too excited and we went too fast haha
we saw these guys with really tiny speedos and really horrible tan lines on the beach while we were on the sky ride and they could not have been american because no respectible american boys go onto the beach and play with a frisbee in speedos with bad tan lines.
Audra and Emily went, not me no thanks.
and again, they went and I didn't. Homie dont play. Ferris wheels are horrible and this one in particular, when I went on it last summer they had to stop the ride because I was crying and hyperventilating then I threw up cause I was scared. Yes, this happens alot haha.

just being a general beach bum
okay so I forgot my jacket well I didnt forget it was just hella warm so I didnt bring it, then the sun started to go down and I got hella cold so I wrapped my towel around me and I looked really sad. That was when Emm and Audra went on Typhoon cause I took Emm's hat haha
Emm's sweatshirt got drenched on the Log ride cause Audra pushed her forward in a malicious attempt to save herself from getting wet and so Emm had to do the towel-for-warmth thing too.
Sly and the Family Stone were playing at Boardwalk last night and let me tell you now, I have their 8 Track cause I'm that cool and I listen to it when I'm cleaning the den cause thats when my 8 track player is hahaha yesss it was cool
Boardwalk at night....and the vampires come out....oh my god can we talk if Keifer Sutherland really came out at the Boardwalk after dark I dont give a damn if he was a vampire I'd be there all the time and I'd just wait around all day until the night when Keifer came out. damnnnn.

our fire last night was even better than the first night's fire.
so we did a bit of a dance around the fire
and then Emily chugged the Gatorade hahaha
but oh man last night it was totally clear out and you could see SO many stars, it was gorgeous!!! I saw at least 20 really clear shooting stars which was awesome cause I always hope to see at least 1 per summer they make me happy. Audra found the Big Dipper and a couple other constellations too and we could also see Mars. It was totally pretty but FREEZING cold since it was such a clear night. This morning we got up at about 9:30, packed up, and hit the road around 11, stopping first at 7-11 for coffee (do you know they have French Vanilla lattees for only $1.19? now thats my kind of place!) and Mickey D's for some food for the road then we got back into Oakland around hmmm maybe 1:30 or 1:45? On the drive home there were hella army trucks next to us and we kept peeking in cause usually the army guys are pretty attractive and some of them caught us peeking and it was embarassing hahahaha but some were really attractive so it was all good. OH GOD on the way down this big old truck kept honking at us and were like oh shit why's he honking are we pissing him off? and it happened like 3 times and then the 3rd time Audra looks over at him and he starts honking and smiling and waving and raising his eyebrows and we all screamed and floored it, it was HILARIOUS looking back on it. Soooooo we survived camping alone and we did damn good and we had hella fun! I love summer.
