So its been a week since Zack's second surgery. He is doing really well. The cut is doing pretty good. There was a lot of trama to the area and some of the tissue on his hip necrozed and sloughe off, leaving a big whole. We are going to wait and see if it fills in before opting for a third surgery. Please keep your fingers crossed that my poor dog's second surgery goes well today. The first surgery on Friday failed to keep the wound on his bottom closed (he jumped/fell/got pushed out of my Landlords car at 40-50mph) and so he needed to have reconstructive surgery today to attempt to get the wound covered up ( Read more... )

I was totally stressed yesterday, on the verge of running away to somewhere else. Too much lab work, couldn't get Powerpoint graphs to work and then I get a call that one of my calves on my trial is sick in ICU at the Vet hospital (she is doing much better today, if anyone cares...Ill take pics tommorrow when I go over to check on them and feed the ( Read more... )

I have come to the conclusion that I will always have an unusal collection of things that I am particularly talented in. Case and point, I learned how to tail bleed cattle this semester (my wild beef cows no less...makes things interesting) and I am quite good at hitting the artery or vein on the first try ( Read more... )

Well today is my one year anniversary of having Zack! I can't believe its been a year since I found him in the pound, looking pathetic.
