Does anybody have any opinions on Sprint PCS? I'm thinking about getting their service with a Norfolk, VA #. I need to decide today though (the phone is free through 9pm tonight!)

Or do any of you VIRGINIA people have recommendations on cellular service in VA? That would be a HUGE help. Thanks!!!

Sprint is OK in cities, their immediate suburbs, and interstates. If you're out in the sticks, it will Roam on Cingular, Verizon, US Cellular, Alltel and a couple of others, but it'll cost about $0.75 per minute. I'd stay away from Samsung phones; they have the worst reception out of all the phones that Sprint offers. I had Sprint for a little over a year, but I have recently switched to T-Mobile. So far, I like them much better.

I have Sprint and I need to cut it off soon... it just seems substandard to me. It never works underground, hardly in my office, and has lots of dead spots just outside the city. It's stupid.

Also, that Cingular rollover minutes thing keeps sounding better and better.

Coolest phones but worst service. At least in Seattle. The signal will go from 4 bars to 0 without me moving an inch and it will drop calls. This has happened here in Seattle and in my last place in Bellevue. However I havent had bad luck traveling with Sprint phone, its worked quite well in other cities. Customer service with Sprint is a little lacking however unless you can make "claire", the computer receptionist, understand you.

I have Verizon Wireless service. I think it's the best for this area [Hampton Roads]
