"So what do we do??"
The man spoke, his voice laced with quiet desperation. He was wearing an expensive suit, the logo evident on his necktie. He looked at each person sitting on the long conference table, each one looking more dignified and powerful than the last.
"We do nothing." The woman said. She was sitting near the other end of the table, her voice low and her expression grim. "We just let him continue with his life. It's not like the tabloids suspect anything. They don't know he's got someone special. They don't even know he's - " She stopped abruptly, cutting her statement. She forgot about the agreement, about not uttering his sexuality, not even in front of the company employees.
The room was in silence for a moment.
"Wrong!" A loud voice thundered across, cutting the silence. He looked at the woman, who was sitting to his right.
"Ah, suimasen..." The woman bowed twice to the person who owned the voice.
"WE do not just sit back and do nothing." He glared at them all. "WE do something!!"
The woman lowered her head and hid her face in shame. The man didn't care if the woman sitting next to him was his sibling. It was still his company and he would take every chance he could to embarrass her. Some would call it ruthless. But in this business, one has to be to succeed.
"YOU!!" He pointed to the tall, young man sitting at the other end of the table, right across him. "YOU date an older woman."
The young man, who had elfin features, looked shocked and dumbfounded. For a moment, he was speechless.
There was great murmur among the other people. All the others were whispering to themselves.
Finally, someone spoke. It was the young man. "Ano...I don't think this is such a good idea..."
"Why not??" The man said. "It's brilliant!! WE kill two birds with one stone!!"
"Huh?" Another person remarked. "How do we do that?"
"It's simple." The man waved his hands. "If we do nothing, it will continue. The paparazzi will still follow him. They're just begging for a story. Why not give it to them?? It's called 'creating a scandal'. We want him to be popular. And what better way to promote it by creating a scandal. Everyone loves it. The tabloids are going to have a field day, the public are gonna lap it up and he's gonna be talked about in the news. And besides," He looked at each of them. "We don't have to do a single thing. The tabloids are gonna do it for us. All we have to do is leak the story, distribute a few pictures and that's it. We don't even have to spend alot of money for promotions and advertising."
Everyone just looked at him. Clearly, they were taken aback. They had underestimated the man.
The man just sat there. Then he finally spoke. "If there's nothing else, then this meeting is adjourned." He pulled the chair back and stood up, slowly walking out of the room. Before he left, he stopped and glanced back at the woman. "I'll leave this to you. I do hope you can pull this off without any hitches. If not, I won't be there to clean your mess."
One by one, the other people started preparing and clearing up. They followed suit and left, one by one.
The young man just sat there, a blank expression written on his face.
What did I just do??

Disclaimer: Don't take this literally!! Story's fictional. Meaning its not true. And I don't own these boys.

"Yamapi!" Toma yelled as he saw Yamapi kneeling down on the floor, his hands shaking and bleeding. "What the hell happened here??" He closed the front door behind him and rushed over to his best friend, who was crying. Shards of broken glass were scattered on the floor.
"He's gone. He's really gone. I can't believe he's gone..." Yamapi cried as he tried to pick up the pieces of broken glass on the floor.
"Oh, Pi..." Toma knelt down and grabbed his wrists. "What happened here?? How come your hands are bleeding??"
"The glass...it broke...and-and...he...phone...dropped...leaving...not coming back...the boss..." He couldn't break, let alone think clearly.
"You're speaking incoherently." Toma said softly. He wrapped his arms around Yamapi and started rubbing his back. "Sshh...cry, Pi-chan, cry."
"He called me up...told me he wasn't coming back...asked the company...told me the same thing...he..."
Toma unwrapped his arms around Yamapi. He pulled him up and led him down to the couch. "Sit down and stay here. I'll get the first aid kit."
He just sat there, holding his wrists, still shaking and tears still falling from his eyes.
Toma came back with the kit and set the medicine on the coffee table in front of them. With a tweezer in his hand, he carefully pulled out small pieces of glass that had stuck on Yamapi's hands. He then started cleaning the wounds after as he tried to talk to Yamapi. "Pi-chan...can you tell me what exactly happened here? How did you get your hands bleeding? Did you cut them?"
Yamapi sniffled, his face swollen and red. "No..."
"What happened then?"
He tried to sigh. "I was taking a break from studying. I was on my way to get a snack when the phone rang. It was someone from the company. He said Johnny-san ordered him to call me. Told me he had bad news. ' The company has decided. The chances of him coming back are slim. He might leave the company soon. Just wanted to give you the heads up. Oh, and you are hereby to have no further contact with him whatsoever...' That's what he said..."
Toma frowned as he plastered some band-aids on his best friend's hands. "Chotto matte. Who's not coming back?"
Yamapi looked down on the floor. "Hiro..." He whispered.
"Who?" Toma leaned a bit closer so he could hear.
"Hiro!" Yamapi stated louder. "Hiro! Hiro-chan! My Hiro! It was Hiro!! He was talking about Hiro!!!!" Yamapi stood up from the couch and walked over to the window, to the far side of the room.
"Oh, Pi...I'm so sorry..."
"He didn't even bother denying it." He bit out sadly, the tears starting to fall again. "When I called him up about it, he admitted it right away. He wasn't even remorseful or whatever. It's like he didn't care at all. All he cared about was his life..."
He balled his hands into fists. "Oh, believe me, I tried. So many times, I tried. I tried curbing his ' wild ways ' . But in the end, I gave up. No matter how hard I tried, it wasn't good enough. Even the company couldn't control him. And then, he got caught. Then they suspended him. It hurt me so bad when that happened. It was like a blow to me. It was as if I failed as a leader..."
"Pi-chan, you did the best you could..."
"But my best wasn't enough. It wasn't enough to save him." His voice was trembling. "I tried to let it go but I couldn't. Then he was gone. They told me it would only be a few months. But then this call came. They told me he'd gone back to his old ways. Still drinking and smoking. And that he was attending Hosei University. When I asked him about it, he told me. He wasn't coming back. He didn't plan to. That's when the truth hit me hard. I got mad at him. Yelled alot of stuff. He didn't even care if I got hurt, just as long as he could be happy, even if I wasn't. After that, I hung up on him. Goddamn bastard didn't even say goodbye..."
"But Pi..." Toma reasoned out. "How could he?? You didn't even give him a chance."
"Whose side are you on anyway??" Yamapi wiped the tears away with a shirt sleeve.
"Did you even tell him how you felt?"
"No..."
"How did you hurt your hands, by the way?"
"Oh that." Yamapi waved a hand. "I got so mad and upset that I gripped the glass I was holding tightly and it broke."
"It...broke?"
"Yeah...and so did I..." He looked away broodingly, out onto the view from the window. He still felt like what he did four months ago - like his heart was still breaking. "Nobody knew how I felt. I was angry. I was goddamn angry. I still am...."
Toma sighed heavily. He stood up and waved his arms in exasperation. "Look Pi-chan, how many times do I have to tell you?? It's not your fault! None of this is! Hiro is old enough to know what's right and what's wrong. It's not like you pushed him to do this. It wasn't your hand that handed him the glass or bottle. It wasn't you who led him there! You didn't ask him to go there! He went on his own!! It was his decision so you better stop it with this guilty act!!"
Yamapi turned around and faced him, anger burning in his eyes. With a few strides, he was in front of Toma, grabbing his shirtfront and pulling him close. "How dare you?? HOW DARE YOU?? Do you have any idea what the hell I've gone through?? I went to hell and back for Hiro!! Everyone told me to stay away from him but did I listen?? No!! When Johnny-san asked me to take care of him and the rest, I didn't even hesitate. I didn't even complain!! He asked me to take care of them, especially Hiro!! I was their leader and he was my responsibility!!! He was my responsibility!!" His voice broke as it grew louder and tears started streaming down his face again. He dropped his head and let it rest against Toma's chest. "He was my responsibility...I was suppose to look out for him...."
Toma pulled Yamapi's hands away from his shirt and gathered him in his arms. He couldn't do anything but just let his best friend cry. At that point, he couldn't really do anything. Whatever he might try to do, it wasn't enough to bring Hiro back. Nothing would.
"He's not coming back anymore...He's not coming back..." He mumbled. "I loved him the most and he's not coming back anymore..."
"Ssshhh, Pi-chan. It's gonna be okay..." Toma rubbed his back to soothe him.
And as they knelt down on the floor, Yamapi still crying in Toma's arms, the world around them stopped and became silent.

Yamapi didn't know that his cell phone was ringing. He didn't know because he left it in his room.
There was a message. From Ryo.
I forwarded this to you. Just thought you might like to know. It's from Hiro...
"I'm about to board the plane. They're sending me somewhere.
Please tell Tomo-chan what I couldn't tell him - that I love him...and that someday, we'll be together. No matter what happens, we'll be together...<333
