One: Good Bye and Hello
As the Tardis faded away, Jackie took on herself to find accommodation or transportation. When the last of the blue had disapeared, Rose got to the Doctor who was still with her and they were soon kissing again. As Rose broke the kiss, gasping for breath, both she and the Doctor heard someone clear her throat. Jackie.
She was waiting, arms crossed, half a smile on her face. "So, Doctor, are you telling me that it is finally official? You and my daughter?"
The half-human Doctor uttered something like "Eeeeeep", jumped backwards and looked at Jackie with a very frightened face.
Rose turned to face her mum, keeping one hand on the Doctor's arm. "Muuum, come on, don't tease him too much...". Her eyes conveyed the other part she did not dare to say aloud, and he's so frail and so hurt.
"I know, I know. Seriously, it is high time, if you ..." Jackie trailed of as her phone rang. "Yes? Yes, we are in Bad Wolf Bay... well, your daughter managed to ... no, yes, we need transportation, are you daft or what?"
Rose was hiding her grin, aware that Pete had not totally realised what he would have to face when getting the other Jackie in his life. The Doctor was both rolling his eyes and shuddering, having been saved by the bell. He took Rose's hand in his, and whispered, "Well, she didn't change so much... how long... I mean..."
Rose cut him, understanding: "Two and a half years. And... you?"
"Five years."
A few minutes later, Jackie was done with her call, and giving orders. "Pete found us rooms not too far away, and someone will be coming to pick us up tomorrow." She ushered the pair to the end of the beach, onto the path, adding, "And now, we walk. Go on."
The Doctor was shaking his head slightly, bemused he had not been slapped again, but overjoyed that Jackie did not seem to mind him holding Rose's hand

Two: Domestic?
Pete had booked a little holiday house for them, one hour away from the beach. Rose was happy to rest her feet, and Jackie had immediately claimed her room and gone to bed. The manager had brought a meal for three, but only Rose and the Doctor were eating, seated on a wooden bench along the long side of a heavy wooden table. Rose was thinking hard, the Doctor was giving her looks when he thought he would not be noticed. After a while like this, Rose, who had noticed the looks, could not hide a grin. "Afraid I am going to disappear if you look somewhere else?"
The Doctor blushed a bit. "Well, I... it's... err..." His tone was suddenly very serious. "Rose, are you all right? With all that? With me, I mean, I am the Doctor, yet I am different... well, I do have all the memories, the knowledge above humans, the brain of a genius, the..."
He was cut off by Rose, who was grinning. "Yes, well, the way you babble and you are rude, I have no doubt about it, right?"
This brought a similar grin to the face of the Doctor. "Ah, I suppose you are right. Rude and not ginger. I could always dye my hair, now."
Rose was amused. "Isn't it a bit... I don't know, domestic?"
"Yes, and I don't do domestic. Well, not much. Well, not totally. Well, not for anyone else than you..." He could not continue his sentence, because Rose was snogging him, having moved closer to him along the bench. When they both came back for air, he tried to continue. "And I would offer you time and space if I could, you know, but..."
"Doctor? I know. I know, really, and... well, yes, I am happy to have you. I mean, we need each other, I think. I... it's a bit like time made a Doctor just for me, knowing I could not have him. I... I ought to be flattered, no?"
"Oh, Rose. My wonderful, beautiful Rose. You saved the world and you saved me, and more than once. You deserve the best, and I hope I am enough for you". The Doctor's voice was shaken, and he almost got the last part caught in his throat.
