Last night I watched The New World on our brand new TV (yay for credit). I really thought it was amazing, and I gain more and more appreciation for Terence Malick's distinctive style every time I watch one of his films, of which there are way too few. Our TV made the movie look even better, too. But alas I don't have time to really get into this ( Read more... )

There's something really zen-like about his movies. They're just mesmerizing, the way he blends quiet moments of drama with beautiful nature scenes. I love the way he explores man's interaction with nature.

1. I thought that movie looked weird, especially when Colin Farrell in that movie reminded me of him in Alexander.
