Title: Nino-chan’s Grand Makeover
Rating: PG
Genre: Fluff, crack
Pairing: Ohmiya (and slight Aimiya?)
Disclaimer: Only the story’s mine
Description: Aiba forces Nino to have a makeover because Nino doesn’t care how he looks.
“Go away,” Nino said, slapping the hand away irritably.
“What’s with that attitude, you little runt?” The man standing beside him asked, planting his arms on his hips, reminding Nino of Nino’s homeroom teacher Taichi-sensei.
“C’mon, c’mon Nino-chan! Look here!” Another man cupped Nino’s chin in his hands and forcefully twisted the man’s head to face him.
“Ouch ouch OUCH…! WHAT IS IT, AIBA-CHAN?” Nino tried to pull his head back from the stronger man but failed. The man pinched Nino’s cheeks.
“You’re so cute when you’re angry!” Aiba cried happily. Jun rolled his eyes. “So what do you want me to do with this thing over here again?” Jun asked, pointing at Nino and wrinkling his nose in disgust. Nino tried to bite off the younger man’s finger. Those looks Jun was giving him were really annoying him.
“Don’t call him that Jun-kun!” Aiba exclaimed, hugging Nino’s head and patting it affectionately. Nino struggled to escape from the man’s hug.
Jun growled with impatience. “Look at him! He’s a bag of walking rags!” (Nino eyed his own scruffy, oversized clothes at this point.) “I’m even surprised that he doesn’t have flies swarming all over his head now!”
Nino hissed at the man. Jun was really starting to annoy him. Sure, his hair was unkempt, his clothes made him look like a peasant who had somehow managed to come to this school and his glasses looked like hand-me-downs from his grandfather, but at least he was clean. Anyway, it wasn’t his fault for having a lack of self-awareness about the way he looks. He just didn’t care about how he looked. But even so, he didn’t like it when people like Jun insulted him like that.
“Under that, there’s a really cute guy waiting to be revealed to the world!” Aiba said. “All he needs is…” Aiba paused dramatically, earning another eyeroll from Jun, and when he could no longer contain his excitement, “A makeover!”
If it wasn’t for the width of the throne-like chair they had thrown him into, Nino swore he would have fallen off his chair. He didn’t even know why such a chair existed in the school.
“What!” Nino cried, “What do you mean, Aiba-chan? You can’t do that! Who do you think I am, to let you do that…“
Jun interrupted Nino’s string of protests. “And…” Jun started slowly in a very low voice, “You want me to do that? Is that it Aiba-chan?”
Aiba would have preferred that Jun started screaming his head off that this point, because the icy daggers that Jun had in his voice and in that stare-Ohmigosh especially that stare, Aiba heard himself whimpering in fear-were really freaking him out.
Aiba mustered his strength and nodded numbly. Oh the things he goes through for the sake of Nino-chan! He just wanted everyone to see how cute Nino could be if he could just look more presentable, and the only person Aiba could think of for help was Jun, who was their school’s resident fashionista. Except Jun’s temper (and DoS) made Aiba feel like shrinking into a corner and never coming out.
To Aiba’s immense surprise (and Nino’s fury), Jun agreed to help “make the runt look less of an eyesore so that my eyes would stop bleeding when I see him”. Jun dragged a swearing and struggling Nino out of the room to a nearby room where he could work his magic.
It really helped that Jun was a perfectionist; that was the first thought that ran through Ohno’s mind as he felt his heartbeat quicken when he saw Nino emerge from the room. Aiba had gotten very excited while waiting for Nino to come out, and grabbed their friends who were unfortunately passing by, Ohno (who was wandering around the school compound randomly) and Sho (who was on his way to the library, the boring guy).
At the first sight of Nino, Aiba had bounced up and down in excitement, clapping his hands together and saying “I knew it I knew it!” again and again while Sho and grinned at the transformation of their friend.
Sometimes, Nino just wondered why he was such good friends with a guy like Aiba. He was clueless and full of weird ideas (which involved mixing random chemicals until the school’s chemistry lab actually exploded). In Nino’s opinion, the taller man just seemed permanently high on endorphin, so Nino had always been careful not to let the man anywhere near chocolate.
This time, Aiba had a self-proclaimed brilliant idea which involved approaching a very DoS guy from the same year as Nino to help him do a makeover. Nino wanted to leap up and strangle the beaming guy but before he could let off steam Jun had already grabbed his wrist and pulled him out of the room, accidentally on purpose letting Nino’s head repeatedly bump on the carpeted floor on his way out. If Nino had known he was going to get this, he thought, feeling Jun’s manicured nails dig into his skin, he would never have gone to this school.
But to Nino’s surprise, Jun was extremely professional when dealing with Nino. Nino had expected Jun to start smearing face paints on his face to make him look like a panda or something, but instead, he had somewhat violently threw Nino onto a chair and rummaged through cabinets for hair sprays and a new set of freshly-ironed uniform. Nino’s eyes widened at all the unknown stuff Jun was laying on an empty table nearby.
“Why are there all these things in a school?” Nino said, eyeing a pair of scissors and a pair of contacts Jun had taken out.
“This is my clubroom” was all Jun said.
“What kind of club is this?? Nino asked, bewildered. “Some kind of host club?”
Jun didn’t reply, but turned remove Nino’s glasses.
Momentarily, Jun stood there stunned, staring at Nino’s face.
“What?” Nino asked uncertainly. “Is there something on my face?” He started rubbing is face randomly.
“N-no, nothing...” Jun replied distractedly. He had never noticed when Nino had his glasses on, but the guy was cute. His eyes were like those of a puppy dog’s and were looking at him with a very confused expression while he rubbed his nose.
Finally seeing what Aiba meant by the smaller man having “potential”, he got to work with renewed determination. An hour and a lot of yelping later from Nino as Jun prodded about his face and hair, the pair finally emerged from the clubroom, Jun looking extremely satisfied and Nino looking extremely bored.
Ohno, Sho and Aiba were all waiting outside to see the “masterpiece”-as Aiba had called it. Sho’s eyes widened as he went “OHHHH~” and Aiba started clapping his hands like a monkey. Ohno, to Nino’s surprise (and rather much delight), had a pinkish tinge appearing on his cheeks under his dark skin. He smiled shyly at Nino as Nino felt himself blush at the older man too.
Nino’s hair was no longer a messy tangle-it had been trimmed and immaculately styled by Jun; without his glasses, Nino’s soft brown eyes could be seen clearly; and he wore a proper set of uniform instead of the frayed and faded second-hand one that he wore (because he was too stingy to buy a new one). All this made Nino look downright adorable.
“Ahhh! Nino-chan kawaiiiiii!!!” Aiba leapt up and hugged the smaller man as Nino tried to peel Aiba off him. He gave a worried glance in Ohno’s direction. He didn’t want Ohno to see other men hugging him, even though he and Aiba were just friends. But to Nino’s relief (or perhaps embarrassment), Ohno was still ogling at him with a rather cute faraway look. Nino found himself giggling as he saw Sho trying to close Ohno’s slightly opened mouth.
Maybe, if this could make Ohno look at him like that, maybe, if Ohno liked Nino to look cute like that… then perhaps this makeover was worth it after all. He smiled at Ohno.
The older man blushed again. Suddenly, he walked up to Nino and before Nino could react, Ohno wrapped Nino’s head in his arms and planted a soft kiss on Nino’s lips, right in front of the other three present. Nino’s eyes widened and he felt his cheeks grow hot before he kissed Ohno back.
Yep, Nino thought as he felt Ohno’s lips against his, the makeover was worth it after all.
A/N: Another random fic! Mostly on all of Arashi rather than just the pairings. I've always wanted to do a fic on Nino getting a makeover because he really seems like he wouldn't care about how he looks. <3 I don't know how the story turned into a sort of Ouran High School Host Club setting though (except Nino isn't poor).
Jun isn't from a host club, but a drama club that does plays that mostly involve princes, hence the throne that Nino sat on earlier in the story.
Hope you enjoyed this fic! As usual, comments are loved! ((:
