OMG.

This is so fuckin' brilliant.

Such a true reflection of the band, told so believably, so relevant the these days after the celebrity deaths of Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett.

So very well, done, exerlinden.

Thank you! It was an awful lot of fun to write this pseudoanalysis on a fictitious band :) I'm so happy you thought it worked!

OMG.

This is as amazing in its final form as I could tell it was going to be when I beta'd it.

THE END. THAT LAST SENTENCE. OH MY GOD, THAT LAST SENTENCE.

Fuck you, I win.

Shivering AGAIN.

And the whole thing, with the pictures and the captions and the article--this is just INCREDIBLE, and omg I bet it took you forever but SO. AWESOME. <3

Hahaha, it did kind of take forever :) From idea to actual execution, I think we're looking at something like three years...

I'm so grateful for your help and all the encouraging words - I really needed it :) Thank you.

Oh, that's fabulous. I love your retelling, and your John, wow. I love how he comes off as so innocent -- like GOING crazy buffered him from THE crazy -- despite the words telling us that he was just as much at the center of the shit as the rest of them.

And fictive!asshole!oh-so-honest!Bruce, at once punk and anti-punk, rolling in the profits. I love that you included a fannish backlash against Billy but didn't give Billy himself a voice to remind people that Joe was a shit and would mock and despise their posthumous love anyway. Because Billy wouldn't say it. He would think it was too obvious.

Also, I am meanly approving of the Michael Jackson posthumous adoration parallels. /catty

Also I love the visual design of this. Really, really well done! \o/

Dude. omg. I would never be the one to do it, but this is so convincing, I think if you let it loose on the 'net (as opposed to remaining safely in fandom comms), people who know nothing about HCL would mistake it for a real RS article. And that would be so fuckin' cool. I totally salute you on this. It's pretty much note perfect. Especially the last paragraph. Kudos.

Wow, that would be kind of scary (RS suing my ass), but yeah, also a little cool (spreading the crazy)...

Apart from that, I'm stupidly flattered by this :)

Thank you!

I felt a little bad for turning Bruce into such an asshole, post-movie, but then again - Bruce's own fictitious alter ego is also kind of an asshole, so... He started? :)

And I did get some perverse enjoyment out of imagining Hard Core Logo merchandise in tourist shops, and emo kids feeling Joe's pain, and all that good stuff that would surely have Joe Dick turning in his grave... Yeah, and I really don't think Billy would have anything to say to that - it's too much of a joke.

Thank you so much for commenting!
