My only advice for dealing with cingular is to pay your bills online. It's made my life MUCH easier. They are douchebags, though.

They all suck.

They just suck in different ways. If you find one that sucks in a way that doesn't matter as much to you, go with them.

My current running theory is that if I can make friends with one person at one store, someone who will actually tell me what's what when I walk in, then my life will be easier. It's like buying a tiny, tiny car...

"Is there ANY cell phone company out there that's honest?"
No. Tho apparently Cingular is in the middle of a class action lawsuit with former AT&T customers - so it's not just you.

You can prolly pay your bills online with any service - I know that's what I do for verizon.

I can't find a number for customer retention (although I'm sure they have one) but http://clarkhoward.com/shownotes/category/155/157/290/ this looks like a good way to check out different companies and stuff.
