if we're not able to download music, how are we supposed to give bands a chance? i mean, if i just learned of a new band i never heard of, i dont go out and just buy their cd, i need samples, you know? and not all bands have samplers out flying about. and if you think about it, if bands care about the "music" and letting everyone hear it, they wouldnt mind it if someone downloaded a few songs.
when it really comes down to it, if you're a real artist, it shouldn't phase you. i still thnk it's wrong, although i admit i used to do it.
i think that it's especially bad to download music illegally from the underground because mainstream arist don't need all that money, and plus, the artists and bands we listen to, actually have the talent deserving of the money.
honestly, i would somuch rather buy the cds. it's just official and so much more special to have the real cd, all the cd art and the booklet the disc comes in, but i'm poor.
the cool thing is that they're taking the prices of cds down now and to download legally, it's only like 30 cents a song, which isn't too bad.
some musicians have a right to be pissed off, but metalllica? give me a break.
