EWWWW...SPAIN!?!?!?!?! You suck! They shall go down in firey heaps of stupidty and failure! That said, my lot is cast in with Brazil. They are the favored, and it's for a darn good reason!!! Waiting for the 13th so I can see my beloved Brazil to win. They'll have 6stars at the end of this years games. It would be against the law for them to loose. That said, the Japanese stand NO CHANCE of proceeeding, as they are in the same seed as Brazil...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Germany is on my likes list <(^_^)> ...and as for Spain...t(^o^t)...but i'm not really into it, or anything...(^_^;)

I considered Brazil, actually. But I usually don't go with the favorites, for some reason, and I kind of want Spain to win, since they haven't in a while. But mostly I'm just observing the whole thing.

I wouldn't mind if Brazil won. A significant part of their population is Japanese, after all. ; )

The way I see it these are my Baseball-Soccer comparisons

Yankees- Brazil
Red Sox- Czech Republic
White Sox- England
Cardinals- Germany
Mets- USA
Indians- Japan

I agree with Julina, Brazil has to be the Yankees of Soccer.

Spain has the highest payroll, so I think of them as the 'Yankees' of soccer for that reason. Also, strangely, I've seen people using 'football' and not 'futbol' when referring to the World Cup. I'm not sure if it's a typo or a shift in terminology?

OFFSIDE is the 'Field of Dreams', soccer-style. All the players watch it to gain inspiration!

I still don't understand half of what was happening in it. But it was part of the BAAF-magic! XD
